Details of The Treatment:
Our PRP treatment starts with an initial consultation during which we’ll review your medical record and discuss your reasons for having the treatment done. We’ll also take this chance to elucidate the procedure to you fully and to document your appearance for future comparison. A sample of your blood is taken and placed in a centrifuge for around 10 minutes.
During this point , we’ll apply an anaesthetic cream, and this may be left on for around 30-45 minutes to make sure that the areas are numbed fully. Once ten minutes are up, the blood sample is faraway from the centrifuge where it’ll have separated into its base components which include Platelet Rich Plasma and Platelet Poor Plasma (PPP). The PRP and a little amount of the PPP is kept while the remainder is discarded.
The Platelet Rich Plasma is then mixed and administered as a series of injections. Afterwards, the treated area is cleaned, and a little quantity of the Platelet Poor Plasma is applied so as to help with the healing process.
How Does PRP Therapy Work?
Every wonderful thing that you’ve ever heard about PRP therapy in Dubai can all be summed up in one word – platelets. Platelets are an important component that comprises your body’s natural healing process; they are the most active ingredient of Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy.
But what makes platelets so special? Platelets, in a nutshell, are designed to prevent bleeding and assist in repairing any cells or blood vessels that are damaged. Once you cut yourself, it’s platelets that are liable for sealing the cut, preventing bacteria from entering the bloodstream.
They work by releasing proteins which activate once they inherit contact with tissues within the body. Through this activation, repairing of tissue begins, and therefore the body’s production of collagen is boosted so as to catch up on the damage.
PRP Therapy in Dubai provided by Al Qudrah Medical Center harnesses this healing potential into a serum which treat a variety of issues like combating signs of ageing.
